Xtreme

On wedneday we went to the xtreme adventure centre in Swords. When we arrived we were put into groups and in my group was the second half of Belle. The first thing we did was we had to climb a 25ft foot pole and get up on to the tiny platform on the top. Once all four people were up you had to jump off. In my team were Aoife, Cliodhna, Ella and myself. I climbed up first and oh my god it was terrifying. I couldn't look down cause I literally would have died. Once I was up, Aoife came up next. When she got near the platform, I had to pull her up on to the platform. Then Cliodhna and Ella came up and when there was four of us up we jumped off. It took us about a hour to do. There was lots of screaming and a few tears but we actually managed to do it!!!!

After the climbing thing, we went zipwiring and we did a high rope obstacle course. I loved doing both of them they were so much fun. I've never laughed so much while doing them.

After the activities, we went to liffey valley and Molly, Eve and myself got eddies which was soo goood.

Retreat

On Wednesday we went to Maynooth University for a retreat. We go on retreat every year and usually there quite boring so I wasn't really expecting much. When we got there the instructors introduced themselves and then started explaining the game "teeth". Basically we had to sit with our arms linked in a circle and the "dentists" had to pull us apart. I was linked next to Molly and Meadhbh and when Molly got pulled out, I was next. It was the funniest thing ever seeing everyone getting dragged out. Next game we played I can't remember what it was called but basically the instructor called out a number and you had to get into groups of that number. Near the end there was only a couple people of left so to determine the winner, we had to do a piggyback race and a wheelbarrow race. Aoife and I were together and we came second. It was probably one of the funniest things ever. 

After all the games we got given questions. My groups question was " if you died tonight what would you regret not saying and to who?" it got really deep and everyone got a bit emotional:)) 

The retreat was soo good and im definitely hoping we get to go next year!!

Swim a Mile

On Wednesday, our year went to the national aquatic center to take part in swim a mile. Swim a mile is a charity swim in aid of crumlin hospital and barretstown. When we arrived at the aquatic center we got changed and headed down to the pool. We got into our teams, in my team was Pia, Jane, Molly, Ella, Eve, Amy J and myself. We did the mile in about 20 mins. I actually was surprised I could do it.. We decided to do a second mile cause we were finished early. 

After the swim we went to blancherstown and got mcdonalds which we get on basically every trip:)) 

Driving!

On tuesday, Class Belle went to learn how to drive in Maynooth in the leinster school of Driving. When we arrived, the class got split into two groups. Our group went to do a sample theory test. In my group were Chloe and Ella. We failed the first time but after the second time we finally passed! After all the tests we went off to the cars. I went first to drive and I had no clue how to do it. The instructor said I was "the worst steerer he has seen in a long time" ehh thanks.. When it was Chloe's turn to drive, we were going around a corner when she accelerated and crashed.. Ella was the best driver in our group. She could go around the roundabout and everything! Well practice makes perfect so if anyone wants to pay for my next lesson that would be great:))

Mini Company Kildare Finals

On tuesday, I.protect which included Anna, Ella, Meadhbh, Clara and myself all went to killashee house hotel in Naas for the kildare finals of Mini Company along with the company "Bam Beauty".
We had prepared our presentation and what we were going to say and I was so nervous as we had to make a three minute presentation to everyone about our idea.

When we arrived, we had to set up our stand. Everyones stand looked really good and all the companies sounded good. We presented ninth and when it was our turn we went up and Anna introduced us and then we all did our part. It went by really quickly thank god. When all the presentations were finished, we got lunch which was provided by the hotel. It was amazing, it was a huge buffet and I was starvingg. After lunch the judges came around one by one and asked questions. The judges seemed reallu interested in i.protect. At quater past five, it was awards time. It seemed to go on forever but finally they announced that i.protect won the innovation award. We were delighted. We had our photo taken with the mayor. After the awards we headed home, it had been a good day. 

Lollipop Day

On friday the 27th of february, we went to town to sell lollipops for oesophageal cancer. We fundraised all day and raised as lot of money. We had to wear lollipop caps, tshirts and badges. Molly, Meadhbh, Jane, Pia and I were selling on grafton street. We walked up and down the street shouting lollipops for 2 euro. We actually sold quite a bit. We all obviously went to mcdonalds aswell. We raised loads of money as a year for oesopahgeal cancer

Mini Company Competition

On Thursday, we had the first round of the mini company competition. All week had been a huge stress trying to get the business report finished. On Thursday morning, we started the day by practicing what we would say as we had to give a three minute presentation on our business. Anna, Ella, Clara, Meadhbh and Myself all our part of i.protect. We then set up our stall to get it ready for the judges.

After the judges visited each stall, we had to get our chairs and sit in the middle of the hall. One by one each group went up to present their idea in front of the judges. After we had all finished presenting, we had to wait to hear who got through to the Kildare final. The judges then came out with Ms Leonard and Ms Barry to present the awards, they announced that i.protect and Bam beauty got through. Our group were happy we got through as our idea was the only one in the market right now.
